The Tour de Elegance travels along Highway
1’s Big Sur Coast 2005
My friend Steve and his son David and I
were down the Coast at the entrance to a tunnel. It seemed
other worldly to me.
The Tour de Elegance makes a stop
in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea for Lunch in the Park and Photo
Ops on Ocean Avenue. Part of the events of the Historic Auto
Week Activities in late August.
After looking at a web site with cars
cloned together, I decided to try my hand at
“combo-cars.” These two cars were practicing at
Laguna Seca Raceway in preparation for the Historic Auto Races
the next weekend. I shot the images with combining them in
mind. So, I came up with a Mini Cooper and Alfa Romeo
“Combo,” I call the “Mini Romeo.” The
tricky part is that these are real race cars on the track, no
artificial or studio lighting.
