Quicksilver Fast Photo
Quicksilver Fast Photo was our business entity in
Downtown Pacific Grove for more than 20 years. My sister Betty
and I were co-owners of a film processing lab. My sister was
the Manager and color lab technician and I was the photographer
and lab technician. In January 2005 we closed the lab on
Lighthouse Avenue.
Our new focus is on
Photography, Graphic Design Custom Web Design and Personal
Photography Coaching. Betty is the Office Manager and takes
care of the Business Details. Dan concentrates on Photography
Projects, Web Design, Graphic Design and the Photo Coaching.
A Little Photo Philosophy: You should be
having Fun!
To put it in a
nutshell, photography should be enjoyable and relaxing. One of
the best things about scenic and nature photography is being
out enjoying the scenes and the outdoor experience. There is
almost always something interesting to see and try to capture.
So, my motto is to go out and enjoy the scenes and locations,
and take a few photos, but mostly just enjoy being there!
I find that more often
than not, just "being out there" is the most
important part of the photographic experience. It is surprising
how many times "soaking up" a little nature, puts
most things in life in proper perspective!
